Who is this Frank who makes world famous biscuits? I really don't know where the recipe originated but it is the recipe mom always made growing up and it's the recipe I always turn to when making biscuits and gravy.
Mix:
2 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon baking powder
Cut in 1/2 cup shortening until in little pieces
Add 3/4 cup milk and mix until it just holds together
Roll to about 1/4 inch thick and fold the dough in half. This will make it so they will split easily. Cut the biscuits into squares with a knife or in a circle with a biscuit cutter. I use a cup because seriously who has a biscuit cutter?
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400 for 12-15 minutes
